Vocational requalification

We offer a special two-year program for particularly able working applicants who do not have a university entrance qualification.  This is meant for people who have proven themselves committed to service in their local church and conference and who are encouraged by their union or conference to study theology, while looking for a shorter length of study because of their personal situation. The enrolment requirements are determined by the sending conference. Usually a minimum age of 27 years and a completed vocational training are expected.
The program includes two years of full-time study of the main courses in biblical and practical theology. On agreement with the sending conference, the tuition fees might be covered and an employment commitment can be granted. The enrolment conditions must meet the expectations of the respective conference.  Typically applicants need to pass an assessment test in German, English and History in order to demonstrate their suitability for study.
